Jintamin Saragih SP is the Head of Station (Kebun) Gurgur. The Station Gurgur is a technical implementation wing of Institute for Agricultural Technology (Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian, BPTP) that belongs to Goverment. Ir Sortha Simatupang MS is a scientist of BPTP. Dr Sabam Malau is the Chairman of NSCF-North Sumatera Coffee Forum. Sabam Malau visited the
Station Gurgur on 8 September 2011 as well as discussed with them both.

Station Gurgur has a rich collection of genetically different coffee plants. I also found some different genotypes at locations. These latter genotypes maybe the result of genetic mutation or outcrossing at the origin place. These all genotypes that are growing on the field seem to have potential to be develop through breeding program to fullfil the research output.
I invite any persons, scientists or institutions to get involved in this promising research cooperation. Don’t hesitate to contact me through my email drsabammalau@hotmail.com.
