NSCF with Deputy Consul General Of The United States of America at Consulate Medan

Parlindungan Purba explained the indonesian current economic situation. Indonesian economy grows stronger significantly. North Sumatera contributed significantly to indonesian economic growth.
NSCF informed them the NSCF's value, program and activities. NSCF implements the Ecoscofas principles, the value of NSCF to fight the most destructive pest Coffee Berry Borer Hypothenemus hampei. NSCF acitivities such as implementation of Good Agriculture Practice in coffee field will also contribute to creating sustainable earth. NSCF will train coffee growers, coffee traders and coffee roasters, and also discuss with regencial and provincial government and all stakeholders. Last but not least is the international networking. NSCF will be member of internatioanl coffee organization in short time to come. NSCF explained the entry point through which NSCF will build good understanding and trust with all of them.
NSCF also informed the significance of coffee. Economic value of coffee is responsible for around 1,000,000 people life in North Sumatera Province. The province exported 60,000 tons coffee bean to the world market. That coffee were mostly exported to USA as the main market, and european countires as the second market. In Indonesia, many of the famous and credible coffee companies such as Starbucks, J.CO and Indocafe use coffee beans of North Sumatera because quality of coffee beans of North Sumatera is the best.
