Coffee Bean’s Peak Harvest Season 2011
Coffee bean's peak harvest season in April-May 2011 in North Sumatera Province of Indonesia did not happen, and the peak harvest season in October-November 2011 seems to happen but still needs to be firmed on the next surveys by NSCF. The NSCF welcomes other parties who want to joint in the next surveys conducted by NSCF. If you want to participate in the next surveys and if you order or request the data, then you will surely be the first party who will receive the data which will be emailed directly as soon as possible to you. Those are the conclusions of the field survey conducted on June-July 2011 by Chairman of NSCF Dr. Sabam Malau in centers of coffee production fields in North Sumatera Province of Indonesia.

As you know, coffee plant in North Sumatera Province produces coffee fruits through year, however there are normally two peak productions : April-May and October-November. The quantity of production is normally higher on April-May rather than on October-November.
North Sumatera Province is the lagerst arabica coffee bean production in Indonesia, and is also a big robusta coffee bean producer. Coffee farmers of North Sumatera produced green bean of arabica coffee in amount of 45,483 tons and 8,239 tons of robusta coffee in year 2009/2010. Coffee estate of private enterprises produced around 6,000 tons of green coffe bean arabica in 2009/2010. Totally, North Sumatera produced around 60,000 tons of green coffee bean. Most of North Sumateran coffee bean were exported to countries of continent Europe, Americas (such as The USA, Canada), Asia (such as Japan) and Oceania. North Sumateran coffee bean has the best ingredient (subtances) and flavor (taste). The North Sumateran Coffee includes -but not limited to- the very famous Sidikalang (Dairi) Coffee, Pakpak Bharat Coffee, Samosir Coffee, Toba Samosir (Tobasa) Coffee, Humbang Hasundutan (Humbanghas) Coffee, Tapanuli Utara (Taput) Coffee, Simalungun Coffee, Karo Coffee, and Tapanuli Selatan (Tapsel, Sipirok) Coffee.
