Didi Kempot (nama lahir Dionisius Prasetyo, lahir pada 31 Desember 1966. ) sangat dikagumi dan disukai oleh rakyat Indonesia dan Suriname. Presiden Jokowi menyukai lagu-lagu ciptaan Didi. Presiden Jokowi pernah berkenan menyanyi bersama dengan Didi. Presiden Suriname memberikan penghargaan kepada Didi saat Didi mengadakan pertunjukan di Suriname. Sebelum sangat terkenal, ia memulai kariernya sebagai pengamen jalanan. Konser-konsernya selalu dihadiri atau ditonton oleh masyarakat.
Saya berduka, Indonesia berduka, dan dunia berduka atas meninggalnya Didi Kempot. Presiden Jokowi yang mewakili Indonesia telah juga menyatakan belasungkawa.
Didi Kempot meninggal pada hari Selasa 5 Mei 2020 pada umur 53 tahun. Ia adalah maestro penyanyi, pencipta lagu, dan sekaligus budayawan. Hampir semua lagu-lagu ciptaannya (800 buah lagu) berbahasa Jawa atau sedikit bercampur dengan bahasa lainnya (campur sari). Semua lagunya berlanggam atau berirama khas Budaya Jawa. Meskipun demikian, sangat banyak masyarakat yang bukan suku Jawa tsangat menyukainya. Saya adalah orang Batak tmerupakan pengagum dari Didi Kempot ini.
Ia dikenal sebagai "Bapak Patah Hati" ("The Godfather of The Broken Heart") karena lagu-lagunya menceritakan tentang patah hati. Ia sangat terkenal di Indonesia dan Negara Suriname.
"Ojo Mudik" adalah lagu ciptaannya yang paling terakhir. Lirik lagu ini meminta para perantau untuk tidak mudik agar penyebaran virus Covid-19 dapat diputus.

Didi Kempot (born name Dionisius Prasetyo, born on December 31, 1966.) was greatly admired and liked by the people of Indonesia and Suriname. President Jokowi liked Didi's songs. President Jokowi was pleased to sing along with Didi. The President of Suriname gave an award to Didi when Didi held a performance in Suriname. Before being very famous, he started his career as a street busker. The concerts are always attended or watched by the public.
I mourn, Indonesia mourns, and the world mourns the death of Didi Kempot. President Jokowi who represented Indonesia has also expressed condolences.
Didi Kempot died on Tuesday May 5, 2020 at the age of 53 years. He is a maestro singer, songwriter, and at the same time a culturalist. Almost all of his songs (800 songs) in Javanese or a little mixed with other languages (mixed sari). All the songs are typical or rhythmic in Javanese culture. Even so, there are so many people who are not Javanese that like it very much. I am a Batak who is an admirer of Didi Kempot.
He is known as the "Father of a Broken Heart" ("The Godfather of the Broken Heart") because his songs tell about a broken heart. He is very famous in Indonesia and the State of Suriname.
"Ojo Mudik" is his latest song. The lyrics of this song ask migrants not to go home so that the spread of the Covid-19 virus can be interrupted.
